1. About Clairsyn and Clairsyn Threshold
Clairsyn is a New Zealand-based organisational strategy and readiness consultancy. Clairsyn Threshold is an organisational readiness assessment tool that helps organisations understand their current state across four pillars: Operations and Infrastructure, Governance and Trust, Workforce and Culture, and Strategy and Sustainability.
1.1 Human-created, AI-supported
Clairsyn Threshold is designed, curated, and interpreted by human experts. The assessment framework, scoring methodology, question instrument, and report interpretation library were created by Clairsyn's team and are grounded in established organisational research practice.
Where AI tools are used, including in the assembly of report narratives, they operate within a framework of human-authored content. AI does not determine findings, invent insights, or replace professional judgment. Every report is built from a library of paragraphs written by Clairsyn's team, selected by the system based on your organisation's scores.
We believe AI should support human expertise, not substitute for it. We are transparent about where and how AI is involved in our service.
1.2 What Clairsyn Threshold is
- A diagnostic tool that collects and analyses respondent perceptions across four organisational pillars
- A directional snapshot based on what respondents believe to be true about their organisation at the time of the assessment
- A starting point for organisational conversation, not a conclusion
- A commercially produced tool designed to inform decision-making
1.3 What Clairsyn Threshold is not
- A statistically validated psychometric instrument
- A formal audit, assurance opinion, or regulatory compliance assessment
- A legally binding assessment of any kind
- A substitute for professional legal, financial, HR, governance, or consulting advice
- A guaranteed predictor of organisational performance or outcomes
2. Purchasing and access
Who can purchase. Clairsyn Threshold is available to organisations of all sizes and sectors globally. Purchasers must be 18 years of age or older and authorised to make purchases on behalf of their organisation.
Packages and pricing. Pricing is displayed in USD at checkout. Packages are Threshold 10 (up to 10 participants), Threshold 25 (up to 25 participants), and Threshold 50 (up to 50 participants), each with a 45-day assessment window. An optional managed outreach add-on is available at additional cost. Every package includes the same assessment, analysis and report: only the number of participants differs. Pricing is subject to change. The price displayed at checkout is the price you pay.
Payment and taxes. All payments are processed by Stripe. Clairsyn does not store payment card details. Applicable taxes including GST (New Zealand and Australia), VAT (UK and EU), and applicable sales tax (United States) are calculated and added at checkout based on your billing address. Prices are shown excluding tax. Tax-registered businesses may provide their tax registration number at checkout.
Credit toward packages. The base cost of your assessment (excluding taxes and add-ons) may be credited toward any Clairsyn consulting package purchased within 12 months of your assessment date. This credit is applied at Clairsyn's discretion and is not a contractual entitlement.
Refunds. You may request a full refund within 48 hours of purchase, provided no survey responses have been collected. Once responses have been submitted, no refund will be issued. Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5 to 10 business days. Contact hello@clairsyn.com with your purchase confirmation.
3. Assessment access and conduct
Access codes. On purchase you receive a unique assessment code valid for 45 days. Codes are single-organisation and must not be shared outside your organisation. Clairsyn reserves the right to deactivate codes used in breach of these terms.
Respondent obligations. Respondents must answer questions honestly and to the best of their knowledge. Deliberately misleading responses are a breach of these terms. Respondents must be current employees, contractors, board members, or governors of the purchasing organisation.
Minimum response threshold. If fewer than 3 responses are collected when the report triggers, it will be generated with a prominent caveat noting the limited sample. Separately, where fewer than 3 people in a participant group respond, that group is merged with another or excluded from the group breakdown to protect anonymity. Clairsyn does not offer refunds or extensions solely on the basis of low response rates.
4. Reports and intellectual property
Your report. The report generated from your assessment belongs to your organisation. You may use it internally, share it with advisors, and reference findings in strategic planning. You may not publish report findings publicly in a way that misrepresents the nature of the assessment or attributes findings to a statistically validated study.
Clairsyn's intellectual property. The assessment framework, question instrument, scoring methodology, report structure, response library content, interpretation logic, weighting model, and all associated methodology are the intellectual property of Clairsyn. You may not reproduce, sell, sublicense, or use these to build a competing product.
5. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

- Clairsyn is not liable for any organisational decisions made on the basis of assessment results.
- Clairsyn's total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for your assessment.
- Clairsyn is not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages of any kind.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or losses that cannot be excluded by law.
